Submit your homework and extra credit to [email protected] with the subject "FF2 – HW3 – HOL ID" or "FF2 – EC3 – HOL ID." Please submit your homework and your extra credit SEPARATELY, with your HOL name and ID somewhere in the email. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. The due date for the assignment is April 30. (I use this email for two Faery Tale related classes. So please label the work so I know which of the homework is which!)

Extra Credit (30 points)
Choose ONE (1) of the following:
A) It is very easy to succumb to the dark side, mostly because there are all sorts of promises made by the magic held within this dark place. The question is, what promises are the mortals falling for? Many figures have fallen prey to deception, and as a result they enter an other-world that they should not have entered to begin with. Research one such occasion in folklore or fiction (not the ones given in the lesson) where a person walks into the trap of the faery/otherworld. Include how the person was tempted and what the results were. Minimum 300 words.
B) The creatures of the "Dark Side" (which include the Unseelie and the mischievous Seelie, even) are usually well-known for their use of words, objects, and glamour to entice an unassuming mortal into stepping into their world. Here's your chance to illustrate the faery lures! Perhaps the lure is a view of a garden filled with delectable fruit, or perhaps it's a beautiful woman fluttering her lashes at a lost traveler. Or maybe it could be as simple as a trail of glittering diamonds, leading a mortal straight into a trap. ORIGINAL WORK PLEASE!
C) Pick a character or faery from the lesson. Have you picked one? Okay, now imagine that you are in that character/faery's shoes. From what you've gathered in the lesson itself, how would you react to the situation that you are under? (Example: How would you react if Mahzarin captured you as a pet in her world?). You can certainly get creative here, so any form of prose, poetry, and artwork is welcome! (Example: If you wanted to write a letter to Mahzarin about her oppressive personality, go ahead!) Just do what you do best!
All graphics must be uploaded to an image server like Photobucket or Imageshack. I'd prefer not to open attachments, please and thank you!
D) Below are riddled descriptions of characters found in the lesson. Your job is to determine who these characters are and what faery world/story they belong to (not all the worlds are obvious, hence my asking for the story instead). Some worlds can be repeated, but each riddle pertains to only ONE of the characters in the stories.
Figure out the character the riddle is about and state the story/world they come from. (3 points each)
